The Copeland Company, LLC (the "firm") operates copeland.cpa. This policy explains what information the website collects and how the firm uses it.

Contact form

When you send a message through the contact form, the firm receives your name, email address, the type of inquiry, your message, and your phone number and company name if you provide them. The form is delivered to the firm by email through Web3Forms, a form-processing service. This information is used only to respond to your inquiry.

Please don't include Social Security numbers, account numbers, or tax documents in the contact form. Use the secure Client Portal for anything sensitive.

Website analytics and cookies

This website uses Google Analytics to understand how visitors use it. Google Analytics uses cookies to collect information such as the pages you visit, how long you stay, the website or search that brought you here, your general location (such as city or region), and your device and browser type. The firm uses this information only in summary form to improve the website. It doesn't identify you by name.

You can block cookies through your browser settings, or prevent Google Analytics from collecting your data with the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. Google's use of this data is described in How Google uses information from sites that use its services.

Online payments

Payments are processed by CPACharge on its own secure website. The firm receives confirmation of your payment but does not receive or store your full card or bank account number.

Secure client portal

Documents sent through the Client Portal are handled by Encyro, an encrypted document-exchange service, and are also subject to Encyro's terms and privacy policy.

Website hosting

This website is hosted by Netlify, which may automatically log technical information such as IP addresses and browser type to operate and secure the site.

What the firm doesn't do

The firm does not sell, rent, or share your personal information for advertising or marketing purposes.

Client information

Information you provide as a client is confidential under the AICPA Code of Professional Conduct, and tax return information is protected under federal law. It is used and disclosed only as those rules permit.
